Amazon profit calculator
Put in your price, weight and cost, and this shows what lands in your bank account and what is left once the product has been paid for. It uses category commission slabs, closing fees and weight based shipping rather than asking you to guess a single fee percentage.

How this works
- Commission comes from the category you pick and the price you enter, because Amazon changes the rate at set price points inside most categories.
- Shipping is billed on the next half kilo above your packed weight, not on the exact grams, and it changes with how far the parcel travels.
- GST on the selling price is treated as money passing through you, since you collect it from the buyer and hand it to the government.
- GST at eighteen percent is added on top of the fees Amazon charges you, which is the part most spreadsheets forget.
- TCS is deducted at one percent of your net sale. You claim it back when you file, but it does leave your settlement in the meantime.
- Returns are spread across every order as an allowance, so one bad month does not make the number look better than it is.
Questions sellers ask
Why is my profit lower here than in my own spreadsheet?
The two usual reasons are GST on Amazon fees and returns. Amazon charges eighteen percent GST on the commission, closing fee and shipping it bills you, which quietly adds about a fifth to your total fee load. And a return costs you shipping both ways plus the closing fee, so even a modest return rate moves the number a lot.
Should I enter the price with GST or without?
With GST. Enter the price the buyer sees on the listing page. The calculator pulls the GST back out for you and shows it as a separate line, because that part was never your money.
What return rate should I use if I do not know mine?
Apparel and footwear commonly sit between fifteen and thirty percent. Home, kitchen and electronics accessories are usually closer to five to ten percent. If you sell mostly on cash on delivery, add a few points for RTO on top of that.
Does this cover FBA storage and removal fees?
It includes a per unit pick and pack charge and an indicative monthly storage figure for FBA. Long term storage, removals and unplanned service fees depend on how long your stock sits, so they are not in a per order calculation. If storage is eating your margin, that is usually an inventory planning problem rather than a pricing one.
How accurate are the fee rates?
They are indicative and good enough to price with. Amazon updates its rate card and runs category specific promotions, so before you lock in a price on a large order, check the commission for your exact category in Seller Central. Every result on this page carries a note while the rates are unverified.
Why does the profit drop when I raise the price by one rupee?
Because commission slabs step up at fixed prices. In several categories, crossing from five hundred to five hundred and one moves you into a higher commission band on the whole order. Pricing just below a slab edge is one of the easiest margin wins there is, and the calculator flags it when you are close to one.
