How this works

  • Commission is read from the category and the price together, since Flipkart moves the rate at set price points inside most categories.
  • Shipping is charged on the next half kilo above your packed weight and rises with distance, so a light product sent nationally can still cost more to ship than a heavy local one.
  • The collection or closing fee is added per order and changes with the price band.
  • GST at eighteen percent is applied on top of the fees Flipkart charges you, not just on the product.
  • Returns are spread across all orders as an allowance, which matters more on Flipkart than most places because fashion return rates run high.
  • Choose Self Ship and the calculator drops Flipkart shipping and uses your own courier cost instead.

Questions sellers ask

Why does Flipkart pay me less than the price on the listing?

Three things come out before the money reaches you. Commission on the order, the collection fee, and shipping if Flipkart is carrying the parcel. GST is charged on all three, and one percent TCS is deducted on the net sale value. Together that is commonly between a quarter and a third of the listing price.

What return rate should I assume for fashion?

Apparel and footwear on Flipkart often sit between twenty and thirty five percent once RTO is included. That is why the default on this page is higher than the one on the Amazon calculator. If you are selling size dependent categories, use the high end until you have your own numbers.

Is Seller Smart cheaper than Flipkart Fulfilment?

Usually on fees, because you are holding the stock and the pick and pack charge does not apply. It is not free, though. You carry the storage, the packing labour and the risk of missing a dispatch cutoff. Run both in this calculator with your real weight and see how far apart they land before you decide.

Does this include Flipkart ad costs?

Yes, as a percentage of the sale. Enter what your ad spend runs at across the account rather than the ACOS on a single campaign, because unadvertised orders still have to carry their share of the budget.

Can I trust these rates for a big order decision?

They are close enough to price with and to compare marketplaces. Before committing to a large purchase order, check the commission for your exact category in Seller Hub, because Flipkart runs category specific rate changes and seasonal promotions that no static table keeps up with.
